| Society Notes |
| Founded in 1967 by Colin Moore to complement and broaden opportunities for music making in the locality, Crowborough Choral Society continues to offer a varied repertoire over its season of three concerts a year. recently celebrated their 40th Anniversary and given recitals in Poland, the Society now looks forward to its 2007-2008 season. On 24. November the autumn concert includes Haydn's "Nelson" Mass and two Bach cantatas. The Spring concert in March features works by John Rutter, including "Mass of the Children" with a children's choir drawn from several local schools. As usual the Summer concert in June will strike a lighter note. In September we shall again travel to Rellingen, near Hamburg, to join our twin choir in their director's final concert, marking his retirement with Brahms' German Requiem. |
