| Arts & Business |
| Our mission is to build creative partnerships
between business and the arts. Since we were founded by business leaders
in 1976, we have maintained our belief that the arts make a real difference
to the quality of our lives, to the world of business and to the communities
in which we all live and work. We fulfil our mission by working with
both business and the arts, not only to help them value and understand
each other, but also to act as a bridge, bringing them together for
their mutual benefit. Working with the Arts Council of England, we
have designed a package of complementary programmes to help embed
the arts into business and encourage more private sector investment
in the arts. Arts & Business New Partners is at the heart of our work.

Arts & Business New Partners |
| Arts & Business New Partners is an investment
programme to promote the development of new, sustainable, mutually
beneficial partnerships between business and the arts. In short, we
want to help business try something new with the arts. New Partners
is one part of our new inclusive strategy to embed the arts more deeply
into individual businesses. Our ultimate goal is to increase business
investment in the arts. However, for Arts & Business, encouraging
sponsorship alone is no longer the most effective method of doing
this. In many businesses the arts are too thinly rooted in the business
soil. Arts involvement is sometimes limited to individual enthusiasts.
However, we know that business derives the maximum benefit when partnerships
with the arts are deeply rooted as an integral part of business culture.
New Partners works in concert with other Arts & Business programmes,
such as our Skills Bank and NatWest Board Bank. Together all these
programmes help foster sustainable and multi-faceted partnerships
between business and the arts. The arts are the new secret weapon
of business success. |
